To Explain, Illustrate, and Animate
NEI’s approach to education is unique. The program is based on the creative use of a variety of
adult learning methods that maximize attendees’ understanding of the material.
Although most education for adults is via lecture and reading, it is interesting to note that
adults are predominantly visual learners! Using this knowledge, we have found that using
graphics and/or animation to demonstrate drug action and disease path physiology allows for a
perceptual grasp of a concept prior to the actual analytical understanding of the data and
facts.
Most of all, NEI’s unparalleled ability to simplify complex scientific concepts through the
innovative use of visual elements ultimately creates an enhanced learning experience that is
engaging, entertaining, and rapidly promotes understanding and enhances retention.
