October 16 – 22 we celebrate National Addiction Treatment Week to raise awareness about addiction as a chronic, treatable disease and help inspire those in the medical community to treat addiction and save lives. Have you met the new DEA requirements for treating and managing of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders?
Meet the DEA Training Requirements
If you’ve heard about the new DEA requirement for an 8-hour training, don’t stress: NEI Membership offers a fully online experience with access to 8+ hours of CME/CE activities aligned with the new federal law’s requirements.
Activities available as part of NEI Membership can fulfill the new, one-time eight-hour Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) requirement of the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act for all registered practitioners on treating and managing patients with opioid or other substance use disorders (SUD).
For full details on who needs to meet the requirement, and how, read the DEA announcement
