The Master Psychopharmacology Program is an online, self-paced, assessment-based certificate program designed to help healthcare professionals broaden and refine their knowledge and skills in the specialized practice of psychopharmacology. The comprehensive curriculum includes up to 28 CME credits and 16 MOC self-assessment credits and covers ten core areas critical to the psychopharmacological management of patients with mental illnesses.

CME INFORMATION

Most parts of the Master Psychopharmacology Program offer CME credit. Completion of all requirements for the program is not associated with additional CME credit.
  • The Self-Assessments offer CME credit (amount varies per topic). Total credits for the set of 10 Self-Assessments is 16.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
  • The Learning Activities offer CME credit (amount varies per activity).
  • The Final Exam does not offer CME credit.
Accreditation

NEI The Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

NEI designates the 10 Self-Assessments and Learning Activities for (see above) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. A posttest score of 70% or higher is required to receive CME credit.
ABPN – Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed NEI's "Master Psychopharmacology Program Self-Assessments, 2021-2023 Edition" online activity and has approved this program as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning and self-assessment program, which is mandated by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) as a necessary component of maintenance of certification. This activity awards 16.0 Self-Assessment Category 1 CME credits.
