Keep Calm and Carry On
Today burnout is prevalent during the process of medical training. Among residents, burnout is commonly attributed to excessive workload, with higher patient volumes, more frequent overnight calls, greater work-hours and lower autonomy associated with an increased risk of burnout.
Medical training is a stressful time and professional burnout and mental health vulnerability are significant concerns affecting providers-in-training. Here are some personal strategies that may help reduce the risk of burnout
