General FAQs

How do I “check in” and do I have to do it each morning?
To check in for the online meeting you just have to open the simulcast platform (link sent by email to all registrants). We have a record of everyone who logs in/out during the live sessions, so if you’re logged in, you’re checked in.

How do I claim my CME/CE credits and get my certificate?
Shortly after the entire conference ends, attendees will receive an email with a link to an overall online evaluation. At the end of the evaluation, you can claim credits and print your certificate.

How many CME/CE credits can I earn at the 2023 conference?
Credits available: 17.5

Which credit types can I earn?
The following are being offered for this activity:

  • Nurse Practitioner: ANCC contact hours
  • Pharmacy: ACPE certificate program (previously “practice-based”) contact hours
  • Physician: ACCME AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
  • Physician Assistant: AAPA Category 1 CME credits
  • Psychology: APA CE credits for psychologists
  • Social Work: ASWB-ACE CE credits
  • Non-Physician Member of the Mental Healthcare Team: Certificate of Participation stating the program is designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
  • Interprofessional Continuing Education: IPCE credits for learning and change

What are the Sessions Evaluation emails I’m receiving each evening?
All attendees will receive a nightly email with a link to an online evaluation covering the CME sessions for that day.

NOTE: On Saturday you will also receive a second email with a link to the overall conference evaluation and instructions on how to claim your credits and print or download your certificate

What if I did not receive a daily Sessions Evaluation email or answer some of the session polling questions? Will that affect how many CME/CE credits I can claim?
No. While we very much appreciate the feedback, answering the polling questions or session evaluation questions is not required to claim CME/CE credits.

Is there a list of conference attendees?
There is not a list, but you can visit the Social Lounge to chat with other attendees and see whether they are currently online (green circle).

Are the focuser videos from the conference available online?
Yes. In the Resources section select “Fun Focusers!” to view the videos played during this year’s NEI Synapse.

The rest of NEI's focusers can be viewed through the NEI Learn app or on our YouTube channel. Make sure to subscribe to NEI's YouTube channel to get notifications each time a new video is added.

How do I fix connection issues: video freezing, audio problems, etc.?
Please try refreshing the video (button immediately below video), exiting, and reentering the session, or reloading the browser page. If you continue to have issues, try clicking on the gear icon in the bottom right of the screen and adjusting your video setting to a lower resolution. Also check to make sure that no ad blockers are turned on.
