In these presentations, using short, case-based examples, Dr. William Sauvé explores several issues encountered in mental health care, and distills the research for the ultra-high risk state of psychosis as well as the potential effects—positive or negative—of antipsychotics on brain volume, and two newly approved antipsychotics and multiple new indications and warnings for existing antipsychotics, with emphasis on the clinical implications. Dr. Andrew Cutler follows by exploring several issues encountered with antipsychotic and antidepressant side effects.
